Casita Barleywine In Retrograde
This collaboration of Casita and Divine Barrel Brewing is brewed with 2-row and Crystal 60 malts and hopped with Columbus, Chinook and Centennial hops.
Barley Wine American
Barley Wine is often hearty beer with an alcohol percentage of 10% or more. Significantly more hops are used in American Barley Wine than in “regular” (English) Barley Wine. This makes the beer more bitter and hoppier and often a little less balanced. The color ranges from amber to dark brown. Barley Wines are often light creamy and malty in flavor with notes of cookie, caramel, nuts and/or dried fruit. Carbonation is relatively low and the high alcohol content often results in little foam. Barley wine is very suitable for aging if stored under the right conditions.
Casita Brewing Company
At Casita Brewing Company, they believe their goal is to create community connections and a wide range of beers. The logo for Casita is a letter “C” in the shape of a cottage. The “C” stands for Casita, of course, but the “C” represents not only the brand, but also many of our favorite words that begin with “C.
