The Emmer Malt is a nice heavy stout with an ancient grain: Emmer wheat. Emmer is known for its nutty flavor. Gyrup special malts were also added. This stout consists purely of malt, hops, water and yeast.
Imperial Stout
The Imperial Stout is the strongest in alcohol and body of the stout beer variety. Black in color, a typical extremely malty taste/smell with a full and sweet malty character…. The bitterness comes from the roasted malts and hop additions.
Brewery De Moersleutel
Brewery de Moersleutel, consisting of 4 brothers, started brewing in a small brewery owned by their father after graduating from college. It was here that the first Imperial Stout was brewed. But not just any old one. A barrel blend (a blend of the stouts Motor Oil and You Nut) that was very well liked among beer geeks. After many Imperial Stouts and Barrel Aged beers later, they are considered one of the best in the world and perhaps the best in the Netherlands.
